We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior PHP Developer to join our growing team. Your primary focus will be to work in PHP (Laravel), Javascript (Angular), HTML5/CSS3, SQL (MariaDB) to create a high-quality web application for an Australian Real Estate Agency. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. We are looking for a person who is passionate about digital, strong analytical skills, great memory, has an inner drive to deliver high quality code, desires a role that has autonomy, and the opportunity to grow your career. We will require that you have a test application to prove your skills and to do some live coding before you are awarded the job.

Proven Experience

• High level proven AWS experience
• 3 -5 years experience minimum building successful web applications with PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and Javascript. (AJAX)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience in common third-party APIs (Amazon, Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)

PHP Experience

• Backend: PHP (preferably Laravel framework)
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
• Knowledge of object orientated PHP programming
• Automated deployment (LAMP)

Database Knowledge

• Database: SQL (eg. MariaDB, mySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

Work Experience

• Strong communication and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
• Work in an open, highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Experience in setting up SW architecture from scratch
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
