ACTED strategy is to target vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters as well as lack of socio-economic development.

Background of the project: LNGB project is designed based on one of the successful learning model of alternate learning Program where girls learn literacy and numbery skills. The Leave No Girl Behind (LNGB) project is aiming to support the ‘harder’ and ‘hardest’ to reach out-of-school adolescent girls between 10 and 19 in gaining literacy, numeracy and other skills relevant for life and work.   After completion of L&N cohort, girls enroll in technical and vocational training programs, where girls learn technical skills around market driven trades/skills. The span of technical courses are 3-4 months.   These skills also provide opportunity to the girls to start income generation and it will improve their life standard. They are utilizing the earned money for education expense of their brother and sisters and also supporting their families.

Overview of the Pos

The position will fully support the implementation of ALP and TVET related documentation which includes compliances of the projects/Programme and case studies, case stories, event management documentation and its reports, compiling ALP, TVET Reports. Development of case studies, success stories by visiting the field and gather data and information to develop these visibility material. S/he expected to conduct required assessments, quality assurance of project, monitoring field visits to target areas, random verification in field.

Responsibilities:

The TVET Officer is in charge of contributing to the following activities:

  • Project Cycle Management and Reporting
  • Facilitation in implementation of ALP and TVET components management;
  • Working closely with the Team lead, to ensure that the project documentation and reports are compiled and IEC material is produced qualitatively within the appropriate time frame, work plans, objectives and approaches.
  • Regular follow up with field staff for the progress and sharing the challenges and bottleneck in implementation.
  • Facilitate ALP and TVET compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Planning and execution event management, training plans and proper documentation of compliance documents including reports and means of verification etc.
  • Visiting field to record ALP and TVET case studies and developing success stories for visibility purpose.
  • Contribute to develop the Resource Centre in capital office, update it regularly with appropriate and relevant external and internal resources.
  • Ensure that all meetings are held and documented (monthly management meetings project’s progress meetings, weekly base meetings
  • Follow-up meetings at the field level around ALP and TVET component in the capital, between area, base and sub base offices;
  • Draft and / or supervise agenda and minutes of the Project’s country-wide meetings.
  • Reporting follow up and ensure smooth and regular communication with Project Development Department.
  • maintain all documents related to the organisation
  • Any other works as assigned by the organisation from time to time.

Qualifications And Experience:

  •  Master degree in Education, social science, Data Management or any other relevant field
  •  Fluent, in written and oral communication skills in English, including experience of report writing.
  •  Expertise using Microsoft Office and Database management is must
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Experience in the implementation of education project is an asset.
